About the Department

Bradford County Human Services is the name given to the combined county agencies of Child Care Information System (formerly known as Day Care), Children and Youth Services, Drug and Alcohol, Mental Health, and Intellectual Disabilities. This office also administers the Human Services Development Fund and Homeless Assistance Program for the County Commissioners. Bradford County Commissioners established the Human Service Agency to better serve residents.

Department Services

Bradford County Human Services provides oversight and coordination of service provision for Bradford County residents. Bradford County Human Services also manages the Human Services Developmental Fund and the Homeless Assistance Program for the County Commissioners. Bradford County Human Services is charged with the responsibility to foster and develop a range of services within the county so that no one will need to leave the area to receive the services they require. Bradford County Human Services is also responsible for child protective services, family preservation, and to promote ongoing communication between professionals.


William Blevins:

Bill Blevins received his Masters Degree from West Chester State College and has worked in Human Services Since 1971. Over the course of his career he has worked with individuals with developmental disabilities, substance abuse issues, mental health concerns, delinquents, and the homeless. His experience spans the treatment spectrum from large Residential Treatment Facilities and Detention Centers, to group homes and supported living apartments.
