About the Department
The auditing office's main focus is to test money keeping records to prove that county money has been collected and spent properly. These duties are performed on behalf of the taxpayers, since it is their money that is involved.
It is the duty of this office to audit all row offices in the courthouse which include Register & Recorder, Prothonotary, Sheriff, Treasurer and Tax Claim. It is also the responsibility of this office to audit the four District Justice offices and all accounts at the Bradford County Correctional Facility and the Bradford County Manor. In addition we also audit all fifty-one tax collectors in Bradford County.
Bradford County Auditors
Jeff Warner is serving his fifth term as Bradford County Auditor. Prior to his post, he previously served twenty-six years as a township auditor. He is a graduate of Troy High School and currently serving on the board of the Troy High School Foundation. Mr. Warner is active in the Bradford-Sullivan American Red Cross, serving as blood chairman for many years. He has served on the board of the Wells Township Park since its inception in 1980. He is active in the Bradford County Democratic Party. Jeff and his wife Lynda reside in Wells Township. They have three married children, two daughters and a son and eight grandchildren.
Krystle Bristol resides in Troy Borough with her husband Kyle and their son Kalvin. Krystle and her husband own and operate Solid Ground Services, Inc., an excavation and trucking company in Troy. Currently, Krystle serves on the NTRPDC Workforce Development Board, the Troy Borough Municipal Authority and on the Bradford County Farmland Preservation Board. Active in her community, Krystle served on the Troy Borough Council from 2009-2015 and was President the last two years of her service; during this time she also volunteered as the Vice President of the Bradford County Boroughs Association. She is a Past-President of the Troy Chamber of Commerce and the Bradford County Council of Republican Women. She is actively involved in the Bradford County Republican Committee and is the elected State Committeewoman representing Bradford County.
Matthew is a graduate of Troy High School and has a degree from Lock Haven University in Secondary Education. Matthew is certified to teach social studies (7-12), science (7-9), and math (7-9). Following his Graduate Assistantship at Bloomsburg University, Matthew worked for 4 years in Iredell-Statesville School District in North Carolina as a seventh-grade social studies and science teacher. He is a member of the Bradford County Republican Committee. Matthew and his wife Pam reside in Troy where he coaches basketball; they have a daughter Alexandra. Matthew was appointed as Bradford County Auditor to fulfill the term his mother Audrey who passed away in April 2012.
