The Northern Tier Career Center (NTCC) was established in 1975 as the Bradford County Area Vocational Technical School, NTCC is a part-time vocational school offering 11 programs and capstone co-op opportunities to high school students from sending school districts
The primary function of the NTCC educational program is to develop the individual citizens, youth or adult, in all his/her capacities so that he/she will be a good member of the community and of the larger democracy of which he/she is a part. The Northern Tier Career Center as an integral part of the total education program makes a contribution toward the development of good citizens.
The principle goal of vocational technical education is to provide career bound students the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge necessary for employment, career advancement and continued education in a chosen field. Fields in which NTCC offers training and classes include; Auto Body Fender and Repair, Automotive Mechanics, Building Construction, Computer Service Technology, Cosmetology, Diesel Engine Mechanic and Repair, Diversified Occupations, Electrical Occupations, Food Production, Management and Service, Health Assisting, Medical Office Technology and Precision Machining.
There are eight regional school districts the send students to the Northern Tier Career Center. Those sending schools are; Athens Area High School, Canton Area High School, Northeast Bradford High School, Sayre Area High School, Sullivan County High School, Towanda Area High School, Troy Area High School and Wyalusing Valley High School.
