About the Office
The Prothonotary and Clerk of Courts Office is the record keeper for the Court of Common Pleas. The records include civil suits, family court actions such as divorce, custody, protection from abuse, petitions, and support matters. The Clerk of Courts office is responsible for maintaining criminal and juvenile Court records. Additionally, and the Prothonotary’s office records judgments and liens.

Sally F. Vaughn:
Sally began her public service in 2000 as a Bradford County Auditor. In 2004, she was sworn in as Bradford County Prothonotary and Clerk of Court. Previous to public service, Sally was owner/broker of Bradford County Real Estate. While listing, selling, and managing a busy office, she satisfied all course requirements to become a Certified Real Estate Appraiser. Sally is a graduate of Towanda High School and continues her education at Keystone College as time allows. She also holds a 1st degree black belt in Martial Arts and enjoyed teaching that. She is active in Big Brothers/ Big Sisters and is on her second match. She is a member of the National Management Association, State Association of Prothonotaries and Clerks of Courts, Bradford County Republican Committee, Bradford County Republican Women, and Bridge Street Hill Rod and Gun Club. Her favorite pastimes include spending time with her family, enjoying the great outdoors while kayaking, gardening, and walking her Alaskan Malamute named Luke, reading, and playing the drums. Sally is the daughter of Tom Fairchild and Flossie Troutwine. She is the proud mom of three grown children and grandmom to two grandsons.
