Manor Residents Swing
>Thanks to the generosity of the Bradford County Manor Volunteer Organization, the Manor residents are enjoying a new whisperGLIDE swing that has been added to the Winston Walkway on the Manor grounds. The Manor volunteers purchased the first whisperGlide, which is wheelchair accessible, in March of 2000. The therapeutic value of this swing was so overwhelming they purchased an additional glider in August of this year. The Manor Volunteers work very hard providing various fund raising events throughout the year to enable them to purchase Birthday and Christmas gifts for each resident. The volunteers also fund the annual Christmas party, and other niceties, including the whisperGLIDE swings for the Manor residents enjoyment. The Manor is always looking for Volunteers to join our organization. If you are interested, please contact: Edie Smith, Manor Volunteer Director, Monday through Friday from 8AM- 4PM at (570)- 297-4111.
